The Physician Self-Referral Law, better known as Stark Law, aims to prevent unethical referrals between healthcare providers.
Why do I need Stark Law training?
Even though most physicians are highly ethical people, many are not. If your employees violate Stark, the penalties can be frightening. But, what’s even more frightening is that Stark is a strict liability law. This means that one can be guilty and penalized without even knowing Stark exists. This means a healthcare provider can do something that they think is okay, and still be penalized.
